So come on, send us your project conception and let's get together.

Goals of the seminars:

In general we offer and conduct different types of seminars and workshops. Our main goal is to pass on the method of simulation-gaming so it can be disposed in the field of conflict-transformation or in order to apply it to support political education.

1. Conflict-transformation:

The overall goal is to pass on the described method to possible multiplicators. By participating one is not only gaining on personal level, but gets the abilities, to pass on the method effectively. By this the seminars follows the train-the-trainers-concept. Furthermore by bringing people from different regions and working fields together, the seminar offers a excellent base for Networking and further cooperation. Bringing people together and by this pushing the reconciliation process forward, has to be carried out by people on the ground. Therefore we strive for intense cooperation with local partners.

Examples:

  1. ConSim_Kosvo_2008
  2. We are Europe !?

2. Political Education:

Through the innovative method of simulation-gaming political dynamics and processes can be experienced. Hereby factual informations can be imparted and furthermore the participants can undergo why translating one's ideas into public policy is so difficult. This learning effect is worthwhile for students as well as pupils.

Examples:

  1. SchülerHelfenLeben 2009 - The mine of Leskova (Kosovo), We simulated a municipal conflict in the virtual town of Leskova, where an Egyptian businessman wants to reopen the old mine.
  2. SchülerHelfenLeben 2008 - The future status of Kosovo, a simulation-game regarding the actual status of Kosovo in 2008 with students from secondary schools in Germany in cooperation with SchülerHelfenLeben.
