With the use of simulation games enirched by role-play elements CRISP aims for a self organizing, holistic, and highly hands-on learning culture. We people of CRISP are convinced that with the simulating examination of conflicts, there will be a new and differentiated access to the understanding and treatment of conflicts. The simulation game leads to an extended understanding of conflict configuration on the political-institutional level and provides furthermore the opportunity to gain insights of the individual skills through the own realisation of political decisonmaking.
Because of our longtime experience with simulation games, we are convinced of the effectiveness of this new learning method. The success story crisis game (krisenspiel) has shown that simulation games should play an important role in the practical conflict treatment and civic education.
