Italy
The CSDC (Centro Studi Difesa Civile) was founded in 1988 and has since then contributed to the development of social research on peace and security issues in Italy. It aims to spread the culture and operational tools in the prevention of violence and nonviolent transformation of conflicts in society at various levels of social aggregation operating at local, national, European and international level.
Portugal
Spin is a nonprofit nationwide association based in Lisbon, whose primary aim is to organize, promote and implement cultural activities, training courses, intercultural exchanges and international cooperation. One of its main goals is to encourage lifelong learning and training.
Belarus
The idea of creating the Movement for Freedom was born in 2006. It is a new organisational form of uniting wider democratic forces aimed at achieving common goals and implementing the common strategy. The Movement is represented in 64 districts of Belarus and in Minsk.
Sweden
Pax et Bellum is a student-run, non-profit organization hosted and supported by the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University. Their object is crisis simulation and in general the promotion of interest in peace and conflict related questions through lectures and discussion forums. Pax et Bellum was established in 1994.
SILC (Swedish International Liberal Centre) is a liberal foundation engaged in democracy assistance. Their projects strengthen organizations and individuals working for democracy and human rights. SILC works primarily with political parties, youth, women, human rights organizations and independent journalists.
Turkey
TOG (Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfi) is a foundation that contributes to the personal development of young people throughout Turkey by enabling them to develop and participate in social responsibility projects as volunteers. TOG brings young people together so they may learn by experience, and so they may contribute to the continuity of a democratic society.
